Christmas Lights on the Champs-Élysées

Every year they decorate the Champs-Élysées for Christmas.  This year they changed the lights from what they had been from the past two years.  Here is a write up about it that I found….

400 light-drenched trees stretching all the way from the Place de l’Etoile and the Arc de Triomphe to the Place de la Concorde by 800 000 LEDs gradually shifting from white to purple. The lights were switched on at 6:36 pm on Thursday November 20th, 2014 . The displays will be taken down on Thursday, January 8th, 2014. The street is lit until 2:00 am each day, and all night on December 31s

They also have stalls set up in a Christmas Market.  Some of the stalls are just things that are from China and you can find them repeated in different Christmas Markets around Paris.

The lights were pretty this year, here are a couple of pictures of what they looked like.

We went on a cold and rainy night, I am glad that we went to see the lights, the smells of the food vendors and the crowds were not so bad either.

Wishing you a Joyeux Noel and Bonne Amie!
